Details

The Public Attitudes Tracker (PAT) survey covers public attitudes, awareness and behaviours relating to Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) policies such as energy, climate change and workers’ rights. Kantar, an independent research organisation, has been commissioned to conduct this survey.

The survey began in March 2012 and runs 4 times a year. A new methodology was adopted from Autumn 2021 onwards. The methodology is described in detail in this Technical Report, together with key survey metrics for the Autumn 2021 to Summer 2022 waves. Since Summer 2022, the Technical Report has been revised, correcting a minor typo and adding the variables HEATMAIN and COOLMAIN to the list of household weighted variables which were previously missed off. .

If you have questions about the methodology, please contact us at BEISPAT@beis.gov.uk.
