Details

The Autumn 2021 wave of the PAT was collected between 15 September and 17 October 2021 using the new Address-Based Online Survey (ABOS) methodology, covering a sample of 5,560 individuals in the UK.

The survey was retendered in Summer 2021 following a consultation in November and December 2020. The new ABOS methodology uses random probability sampling. Respondents are invited to participate through letters sent out to addresses randomly selected from the postcode address file (PAF). They can complete the survey online or on paper.

These results should not be compared with the face-to-face results or online panel results from previous waves due to selection and measurement effects. Details are provided in the Technical Overview report.
