You should use this general licence to move mammals from or to premises in a protection or surveillance zone where poultry or other captive birds are kept in England and Wales.

This licence only allows you to move mammals during outbreaks of avian influenza strains starting ‘H5N’ - for example, H5N1 and H5N5. You cannot use this licence to move mammals during an outbreak of any other strains of HPAI, such as H7N9.

You do not need to apply for this general licence but you must meet its conditions and follow its instructions.
