Details

This report presents the findings of the review of the building material statistics publication.

The review examined data collection and compilation methodologies used to produce the statistics. It identified user needs and requirements for the statistics and asked users what they thought of the quality of the statistics.

A respondent burden survey was conducted to estimate the compliance costs incurred by the regular data inquiries, and to identify areas to reduce respondent burdens.

The review also assessed the extent to which the statistics comply with the Code of Practice for Official Statistics.

The report includes several recommendations for improving the publication.
