Appeal 2017 business rates in Wales

Details
To appeal business rates and change an entry in the 2017 rating list for properties in Wales, use form VO7012.
There are now only 2 reasons for proposing a change (making an appeal) to the rateable value. These are (either of these apply):
- the rateable value is wrong because of an alteration made by the Valuation Office Agency
- the valuation is wrong because of a court decision
You must send appeals for property affected by a court decision by 30 September 2023.

For an entry in the 2023 rating list, you will need to use a business rates valuation account to tell the Valuation Office Agency that:
- your property details need changing
- you think that your rateable value is too high
- you want to appoint an agent to act on your behalf
How to use a business rates valuation account
You can no longer make appeals for entries on the 2010 rating list.
