If you live in Scotland you cannot apply Carer’s Allowance. You need to apply for Carer Support Payment instead.

Claim by post
To claim Carer’s Allowance by post:
- print one of these forms (use the State Pension version if you get a State Pension)
- fill it in with a pen
- post it to the address on the form
Before you fill the form in online
If you’re using a mobile phone or tablet
You cannot complete the form using a mobile phone or tablet. You have to either:
- use a desktop or laptop computer
- print the form and complete it by hand
Contact the Carer’s Allowance Unit to ask for a paper form.
If you’re using a desktop or laptop computer
