Innovate UK’s first SME innovation awards were held at the House of Commons on 13 October 2015.

This publication showcases the winning and shortlisted businesses in the 5 different award categories.

The awards aim to recognise great innovation among projects co-funded by Innovate UK. They are projects that demonstrate the impact of innovation and could inspire others.

The winning companies were:

• Oxis Energy – innovation leading to business transformation
• Cobalt Light Systems – innovation leading to new markets
• Endomagnetics – innovation leading to productivity improvement
• Discuva – innovation attracting investment
• Snap Fashion – inspirational innovation award
