It applies to:
- local-authority-maintained schools
- academies and free schools
- pupil referral units
- independent schools
- sixth-form colleges
- further education colleges
The guidance covers settings that:
- are required to offer induction to their early career teachers
- choose to offer induction to their early career teachers
