Details

The purpose of this divisional circular letter is to bring to attention to all building control bodies and other interested parties the changes to the Building Regulations regime which will be delivered through amendments to the statutory guidance in Approved Document A (Structure) and Approved Document C (Site preparation and resistance to contaminants and moisture). The changes will take effect from 1 October 2013.

The changes to Approved Documents A and C apply to buildings and building work in England, and also to excepted energy buildings, buildings of statutory undertakers and Crown buildings in Wales.
