This command paper sets out the government’s response to the recommendations made by the House of Lords Children and Families Act 2014 Committee in its report ‘Children and Families Act 2014: A failure of implementation’.

The government is grateful to the Children and Families Act 2014 Committee for their report, conclusions and recommendations, and thanks the children and young people that contributed to the work of this inquiry.

The government response to each of the 17 recommendations was presented to Parliament by the Lord Chancellor on 6 February 2023.
