Details
When the registers of common land and of town or village greens were compiled some land that could have been registered, was not. Similarly, some land was mistakenly recorded as common land or as town or village green even though it wasn’t. All such land can, if it fulfils certain criteria, now be added or removed from the registers. Where town or village greens were wrongly recorded in the common land register, these can now be transferred to the register of town or village greens.
This relates to Schedule 2 of the Commons Act 2006.
