This DASA competition on behalf of the Innovative Research Call (IRC) 2020 for Explosives and Weapons Detection seeks innovative scientific and technical solutions for improved detection of explosives and weapons.
The IRC competition is run on behalf of several government departments and law enforcement agencies, including:
- Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI)
- Department for Transport (DfT)
- Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl)
- Home Office, Office for Security and Counter Terrorism (OSCT)
- Metropolitan Police Service
- U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Science and Technology Directorate
- UK Border Force
The competition seeks proposals for the screening of:
- buildings and areas
- goods
- people and / or their possessions
- vehicles
This competition closes on Monday 28 September 2020 at midday (BST).

Please note that a strict deadline will be enforced for applications and those submitting late will not be considered. Bidders are therefore encouraged to sign up to the submission system and submit their proposals early.
