This study examines the volume of litigation at the Patents Court (PHC) and the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court (IPEC) in 2014. The study provides a comprehensive picture of patent litigation at the PHC and IPEC.

The report focuses on the number of cases involving European patents litigated at these venues. Unless patentees opt out of this new court, cases involving European patents will fall under the jurisdiction of the Unified Patent Court (UPC). The report also comprises a breakdown of the number of infringement and revocation claims filed at the Courts.

The methodology used to conduct the research is also provided.
