The supplement contains details of the steps that must be followed before making an application on common land and shared grazing:

  1. Consult stakeholders.
  2. Select a representative or agreement signatory.
  3. Start to establish a group with an internal agreement.
  4. Open a bank account.
  5. Contact Natural England and complete an expression of interest form.
  6. Register a Single Business Identifier (SBI) and check the Rural Land Register.
  7. Negotiate an application with Natural England.
  8. Site of Special Scientific Interest consent.
