Final summary and synthesis report of the evaluation of the Cycle City Ambition (CCA) programme between 2013 and 2018.

The evaluation focused on 14 schemes in the 8 CCA cities. The summary report includes:

  • final impact of investment in cycling infrastructure in the 8 CCA cities
  • city-wide and programme-level cycling trends
  • the propensity to cycle by gender, age and ethnicity
  • the perceptions about the safety and quality of cycling facilities
  • the wider impacts on physical activity, carbon emissions and emissions of local pollutants

This report replaces the Cycle City Ambition programme interim report from February 2020 and baseline and interim report of September 2018.
