Please note the latest update regarding the pause on Defence funding for the Open Call for Innovation.
The One-Page Pitch offers the opportunity to submit a brief outline of your innovation to us at DASA for a rapid assessment and response, without releasing any Intellectual Property.
One of the benefits is that it enables you to run your idea past us before you invest time, effort and cost in formulating and submitting a full proposal. We can then recommend to you whether to proceed with your proposal or, if your idea is not of interest to us, we will do our best to signpost you to other organisations that may be interested.
To submit your One-Page Pitch, please follow the guidance below on how to complete it.
Guidance
About Us
Please supply us with your company and point of contact name, address, email address and telephone numbers, so we can get back to you.
Our Idea in a Sentence
What we would like here is a high-impact, attention-grabbing statement covering the aim of the proposal. We want you to indicate to the reader why they should read on!
Who will benefit from our idea and how
We would like an outline of how your idea might be of benefit to defence and/or security. We appreciate that you may not be familiar with the defence and security user communities, so do not worry about being specific. Give an indication of what problem or challenge you are trying to solve, how your idea might be used, and what the benefits might be.
What makes our idea different
What we want to know here is how your idea differs to what is being done already, or perhaps what is in the pipeline. Why is your idea better, and what benefits do the differences between your idea and others offer.
What we will deliver
Outline broadly what your project will deliver, such as whether it would be a report, a proof of concept demonstration or a final product/service. It might be useful for you to reference the Technology Readiness Level (TRL) your idea will reach if we fund you.
When we will deliver it
We want an indication of how long you think you would need to complete your proposed work, with some indication of the funding you might require. All of this is without commitment, and of course the detail would follow in your proposal. However, this information will help us with our internal resource planning.
How to submit your One-Page Pitch
