The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Employer Survey was designed to gather evidence from employers on their policies, procedures, awareness, and attitudes in relation to a range of topics of interest to DWP. It looked at:
- health and disability at work
- older workers
- recruitment, retention and progression of staff
- engagement with government recruitment schemes and wider employer-facing policies
- pensions
- specific groups who may be disadvantaged in the labour market
- diversity of the workforce
This report presents the findings from the quantitative survey. The survey was conducted with 8,002 employers in Great Britain between February and April 2022. Fieldwork and primary data analysis was independently conducted by IFF Research.
Research value
Findings from the survey are being used to inform policy development across DWP by allowing the department to understand employer behaviour and practices.
