  • Rail Delivery Group welcome points trials
  • the Office of Rail and Road accessibility update
  • memorandum of understanding between DPTAC and the Mobility and Access Committee for Scotland

Meeting 8 March 2024

The issues discussed included DfT Rail updates on the national rail accessibility strategy, accessibility audit phase 2, disabled persons railcard and accessible stations: code of practice.

Meeting 8 December 2023

There was a discussion on the design standards for accessible railway stations: a code of practice consultation.

The issues discussed included:

  • Passenger Assist
  • review of station code of practice
  • updates on DPTAC/DfT activities – Disabled Persons Railcard review, DPTAC response to ORR’s draft determination consultation, and DPTAC publication scheme

  • accessibility audit dashboard overview
  • update on current DPTAC/DfT activities – DPTAC’s response to Office of Rail and Road (ORR) consultations, National Rail Accessibility Strategy, Disabled Persons Railcard review and Accessible Station Design Code of Practice review
