Details

The Electronic Trade Documents Bill will make digital documentation legally recognised, reduce admin costs and make it easier for UK businesses to buy and sell internationally. The introduction of the bill is estimated to create £1.14 billion in net benefits to the UK over a 10-year period.

This publication shows a summary version (html) and the full version (pdf) of the Electronic Trade Documents Bill de minimis assessment (DMA). The DMA is an economic assessment of the impacts of the bill. This includes the policy rationale, the monetised costs and benefits, the wider impacts and the plan for monitoring and evaluation for the introduction of the regulation.
