This explanatory memorandum is about a decision of the UK/EU Withdrawal Agreement Joint Committee to add Regulation (EU) 2023/2411 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 18 October 2023 on the protection of geographical indications for craft and industrial products and amending Regulations (EU) 201 7/1 001 and (EU) 2019/1753 to the Windsor Framework to apply in Northern Ireland.

It was sub mitted by Feryal Clark MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State (Minister for AI and Digital Government), Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and Nick Thomas-Symonds MP, Minister for the Cabinet Office (Minister for the Constitution and European Union Relations).
