Details
The grant funding supports local transport authorities with developing and constructing walking and cycling facilities. The funding has been provided in 5 tranches, with tranche 4 extended into 2023 to 2024. The funding was:
- tranche 1 (the Emergency Active Travel Fund) supporting the installation of temporary measures to mitigate for the lack of public transport capacity as part of the work to combat the COVID-19 pandemic
- tranche 2 supporting more permanent measures, including to make some temporary schemes permanent
- tranche 3 funding for 2021 to 2022 including additional tranche 3 change control funding for 2022 to 2023
- tranche 4 funding for 2022 to 2023
- an extension to tranche 4 funding for 2023 to 2024
- tranche 5 funding for 2024 to 2025
