The Energy Follow Up Survey (EFUS) is a large interview and measurement survey of household occupancy and heating patterns, thermal comfort and energy consumption over 2017 to 2019, with a particular focus on fuel poor households.
It is a detailed follow-up to the annual English Housing Survey. It includes:
- interviews with around 2,500 households
- half-hourly temperature measurements from around 750 homes between autumn 2017 and spring 2019
- daily profiles of gas and electricity consumption from 150 and 450 households respectively over the 2018 to 2019 heating season
