Details

The London Office for Rapid Cybersecurity Advancement (LORCA) was funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport* (DCMS). The LORCA programme was a joint collaboration between Plexal, the Centre for Secure Information Technologies at Queen’s University, Belfast and Deloitte. LORCA provided support for cyber companies to grow and scale, including dedicated office space, access to technical and entrepreneurial expertise, and connections with finance and industry experts.

The LORCA programme was delivered as part of the government’s National Cyber Security Strategy (2026 to 2021). The evaluation report relates to the LORCA programme’s operations from 2018 to 2022.

*Responsibility for cyber security growth and innovation policy moved from DCMS to the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) in February 2023.
