This report combines two research products: qualitative research with Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) and electoral administrators conducted between December 2020 and January 2021, and a survey of electoral administrators conducted in summer 2020 and summer 2021, to provide an overview of changes in satisfaction compared with the pre-reform canvass.
This research contributes to the evaluation of the Modern Electoral Registration Programme which aims to create a more efficient registration system, make the process simple and clear for citizens, and give EROs more discretion, whilst maintaining completeness and accuracy of the registers.
