Excise Movement and Control System software: commercial suppliers
Updated 20 November 2024
A range of internet filing enabled software and online forms are available from HMRC and commercial software suppliers, which can be used to file Excise Movement and Control System (EMCS) forms.
You can choose the product that best suits your needs. HMRC will accept forms and returns using any of the products listed.
EMCS includes the IE825 submitted draft of splitting operation which allows consignors to split consignments of energy products intended for different destinations into 2 or more parts.
This functionality is not supported by the UK portal application and can only be submitted via a third party software application.
