The Farming Equipment and Technology Fund 2024 is closed for applications.

FETF 2024 includes 3 grants to help you buy equipment or technology to:
- improve productivity
- manage slurry
- improve animal health and welfare
Grant value: up to £50,000 towards productivity and slurry items and up to £25,000 towards animal health and welfare items.
Who can apply
You can apply for a grant if your business is based and registered in England and you’re a:
- farmer
- horticulturalist
- forestry owner
- contractor carrying out services to farmers, horticulturalists or forestry owners
When you can apply
FETF 2024 is closed for applications.
The first application deadline for productivity and slurry items was 17 April 2024.
The first application deadline for animal health and welfare items was 1 May 2024.

You should use the Farming Investment Fund service to accept your GFA by 8 July 2024. You must claim your FETF 2024 grant payment by midday 10 January 2025.

The first application window for productivity and slurry items closed at midday on 17 April 2024.

Updated the guidance for applying for grants of over £25,000.

Opening and closing dates for the first application window for animal health and welfare grants have been added. The item specification for FETF226A - Rubber flooring mats for cattle has changed. The item must be a rubber flooring mat for cattle housing walkways and alleyways and have interlocking or straight sides. Rubber mats for lying areas such as cubicles are not eligible.

Application window dates for animal health and welfare items have been removed. They will be published shortly.

Dates for the first application window for productivity, slurry and animal health and welfare grants have been added. Links to the Farming Investment Fund service have also been added. FETF412 - Mobile tractor powered livestock total feed ration mixer has been removed from the productivity item list. The section on Changing or withdrawing your application has been changed. You cannot change your application after you've submitted it. If you withdraw your application, you cannot submit another application until a new application window opens.
