Thank you for your freedom of information request, received on 30 May 2024, and allocated reference number RFI 091.

Please find the answers to your questions below.

Please could you provide the following information under the freedom of information act covering the last 24 months, or the most recent 24-month period recorded:

1: Has the department used agencies to recruit temporary/contractor staff? Please provide a breakdown of your answer to question 1, splitting the spend by job title/specialism.

ANSWER: Yes, the SSRO has used agencies to recruit temporary/contractor staff.

During 2022/23 the SSRO incurred £8,955.56 to recruit these temporary/ contractor staff. The spend broken down is: -

Business Analyst £2314.12
Management accountant  £2,995.31
Comms Adviser £665.13
PA to Corp Service Director  £2,981.00

Figures for 2023/24 are subject to audit and therefore not currently available.

2: Has the department used agencies to recruit permanent staff? Please provide a breakdown of your answer to question 2, splitting the spend by job title/specialism.

ANSWER: Yes, the SSRO has used agencies to recruit permanent staff. The SSRO paid recruitment fees totalling £38,334.70 in 2022/23 to agencies for the recruitment of the following permanent staff: -

Procurement Manager     £859.17
Chief Executive Officer £37,475

Figures for 2023/24 are subject to audit and therefore not currently available.

3: What frameworks do you have access to when hiring temporary/contractor staff?

ANSWER: All relevant Crown Commercial Services frameworks

4: What frameworks do you have access to when hiring permanent staff?

ANSWER: As above for Question 3.

5: What recruitment managed services do you have in place for hiring temporary/contractor staff?

ANSWER: Not Applicable

6: What recruitment managed services do you have in place for hiring permanent staff?

ANSWER: Not Applicable
