RE: Freedom of Information Request - Meetings with Trade Associations
Thank you for your freedom of information request, received on 25 September 2024. This is being treated as a new FOI request and it has been allocated reference RFI 099.
Your request seeks information concerning meetings with “trade association representatives of ADS, DSAG and Intellect”. It is not clear to us who those trade association representatives are, nor whether you mean meetings with those representatives as individuals or in relation to the individual companies that they work for or only meetings when they represent those trade associations. Intellect is also an unknown entity to us. Please therefore clarify your request and, in doing so, please have regard to the data protection rights of any individuals whose personal data you are processing (as the SSRO shall do in disclosing any such information).
The SSRO regularly meets with industry stakeholders, including in their capacity as qualifying defence contract or sub-contract holders. If in searching for and compiling the information it is unclear to the SSRO whether these representatives are acting in their capacity as a trade association representative or in some other capacity (individual or as a company representative), note that we are likely to assume that they are not acting in their capacity as a trade association representative. Should you wish to amend your request on that basis, you may do so.
Please note that the SSRO has yet to assess the time it estimates it will take to locate, retrieve and compile the information sought, which it shall do upon receiving the necessary clarification. I confirm that the 20-working day period to respond to your request will not commence until we receive the clarification sought.
