The Prime Ministers of the UK and Japan held a summit meeting in April 2012 and produced a joint statement. The ‘UK-Japan Framework on Civil Nuclear Energy Cooperation’, which was annexed to the joint statement, states that Japan and the UK decided to launch an annual dialogue at senior level to strengthen bilateral cooperation across the full range of civil nuclear activities.
The fourth annual meeting was hosted by the UK’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in London on 24 and 25 November 2015.
