Report presenting the findings from a dialogue with members of the public about emerging road technologies including:

  • electric vehicles
  • connected and automated vehicles
  • platooning
  • mobility services such as mobility as a service and ride-sharing services

The dialogue explored the:

  • current public attitudes toward and experiences of the technology service areas
  • expectations, hopes and fears about how the technology service areas might be employed in the future
  • potential responses to the technology service areas in terms of journey choice, mode of transport and other effects

The findings from this research informed the development of the Draft ‘Road Investment Strategy 2’.
