The Science Ministers of Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, the USA, and the Science Commissioner of the European Union agreed the joint communiqué.

The Declaration sets out agreements on:

  • research security and integrity; open science and science communication
  • large research infrastructures
  • research in new and emerging technologies
  • research and innovation cooperation with Africa
  • seas, ocean, and their biodiversity
