G7 shared policy objectives for competition in digital markets

In November 2021, the government convened policymakers from the G7, Australia and the Republic of Korea where we agreed to this set of shared policy objectives for competition in digital markets. The objectives recognise the complex, global issues governments and regulators are trying to address and our commitment to work together to tackle these challenges.

Details

In June 2021, Ministers from the G7, Australia and the Republic of Korea agreed to deepen cooperation on digital competition.

We agreed to work together through existing international and multilateral fora, to find coherent and complementary ways to encourage competition and support innovation in digital markets. The shared policy objectives for competition in digital markets build on this agreement.
