This research brings together evidence from qualitative interviews with borrowers who have either given voluntary possession or have sold their home due to financial difficulties, to inform our understanding of the drivers, experiences and outcomes for these households.

The findings and recommendations in this report are those of the consultant authors and do not necessarily represent the views or proposed policies of the Department for Communities and Local Government.
