Details

This prison service instruction (PSI) describes what prison staff should do when they find an unauthorised mobile phone or SIM card. This includes:

  • phones and SIM cards taken off prisoners, visitors and staff
  • phones and SIM cards found on the premises

It covers how the items should be handled and inspected and what actions to take if the items were found on a person.

This is a current PSI. It came into effect on 8 April 2011.
