Details

Use this form to apply for an HGV to have its first MOT (annual test) if it’s either:

  • registered with DVLA and now needs a test (or plating and testing) after it was previously exempt from being tested
  • not registered with DVLA and was manufactured more than 25 years ago

There’s a different process to book an MOT for a:

  • registered vehicle that already has ‘plating’ documents.
  • non-registered vehicle that’s being approved and issued with ‘plating documents’ in the Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) scheme before it’s registered
