Details

This Policy Framework sets out the rules and processes for all staff in prisons and probation premises to ensure that powers under the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000, and the Investigatory Powers Act 2016 are only used when necessary, proportionate and lawful.

This policy will be reviewed in April 2024, or earlier if new legislation affecting the policy is made.
