These documents have been published as part of the HS2 Phase One environmental statement for the route between London and the West Midlands. The environmental statement was produced to accompany the HS2 Phase One hybrid Bill.
The ‘Scope and methodology report’ was published in Autumn 2012 and outlines the approach to the environmental impact assessment process for Phase One of HS2. It also sets out the methodology adopted for determining the likely environmental impacts and effects.
The ‘Scope and methodology summary consultation report’ was published in Autumn 2012 and provides a summary of the types of comments raised during consultation on a draft of the ‘Scope and methodology report’, published in March 2012, and the subsequent changes made to the ‘Scope and methodology report’.
The ‘Scope and methodology report addendum’ outlines where the methodology in the ‘Scope and methodology report’ has been amended. The addendum focuses on updates to:
- the establishment of baseline conditions
- survey definition
- the scope of the assessment
- the assessment methodology - for certain topics, technical note(s) supporting the assessment methodology are annexed to the report addendum
