Details

This code of practice has been agreed between the Independent Living Fund (ILF), the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services (ADASS), and the Local Government Association (LGA). It repeats their commitment to working together to support the effective transfer of ILF users to sole local authority support from July 2015.

We re-launched the code of practice in April 2014 following the decision by government to close the ILF on 30 June 2015. We published an updated version in February 2015 (dated November 2014) that:

  • takes into account the publication of the Care Act 2014 regulations and guidance
  • reflects the progress made on the transfer programme
