Details
This report further develops the evidence base around the economic impacts of International Regulatory Cooperation (IRC) initiatives, in the form of a literature review and stakeholder interviews.
Commissioned by the Better Regulation Executive (BRE), this report supports ongoing work to facilitate best practice with policymakers and regulators on increasing collaboration and learning with international partners to improve our domestic regulation; and ensuring that it facilitates trade and investment, is innovation friendly and fit for the future, while protecting consumers and the environment.
Through a series of case studies of existing IRC initiatives, the report describes the evidence on the expected and realised impacts, as well as identifying opportunities of monitoring and evaluating, as departments and regulators seek to widen and deepen IRC participation.
