A peer reviewed paper describing how the testing of two samples of chilli powder, submitted to the Government Chemist for analysis under its referee function, was carried out by sub-contracted laboratories.

The paper describes the photostimulated luminescence and thermoluminescence techniques used to determine whether the samples contained irradiated chilli powder.
