A journey log is required for all exports, imports and transits of farm livestock and unregistered equines.

Updated main journey log form and section 1 additional sheet. From 1 January 2025, you must submit evidence of the purpose of your export or transit journey as part of your journey log application for cattle, sheep, pigs or goats (not horses or other equines). Insert your evidence verification code from the relevant national livestock association into section 1, box 8, on the journey log form. APHA will only approve a journey log if satisfied that the journey is for a permitted purpose.
