On 1 February 2016, Laser Awards Ltd (Laser) gave Ofqual an undertaking which sets out steps it will take to secure compliance with our ‘General Conditions of Recognition’. Specifically:

  • A6.1 and A6.2 (a) - Identification and management of risks
  • A7.1 - Management of incidents
  • A8.2 (a) and A8.3 (b) - Malpractice and maladministration
  • D3.3 - Reviewing approach
  • H6.1 - Issuing results

Laser has undertaken to carry out a number of actions affecting its approach to handling incidents of malpractice.

In line with general condition B8, Laser must now take all the steps identified in the undertaking. We may take further action if it does not follow through on its commitments.
