Phase 1 commodity codes under the Northern Ireland Retail Movement Scheme (accessible version)

This is a list of commodity codes for products that need individual labels in phase 1 of the Northern Ireland Retail Movement Scheme (NIRMS).

Phase 1 of the NIRMS began in October 2023.

Product categories covered in phase 1 include:

  • meat and meat products that are pre-packed or packaged at the point of sale
  • milk and dairy products that are pre-packed or packaged at the point of sale

Products are grouped using the same headings as on the UK Integrated Online Tariff tool. You can use the UK Integrated Online Tariff tool to look up the commodity codes for your goods if you do not know them.
