Littlehampton Harbour Dues Objection: public inquiry

The Secretary of State for Transport has considered objections lodged by Arun Yacht Club Ltd, Littlehampton Yacht Club Ltd, and Broomer Farm Trading Limited, trading as Littlehampton Marina under Section 31 of the Harbours Act 1964 (‘the 1964 Act’) on the harbour dues charged by Littlehampton Harbour Board (‘the harbour authority’) from 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019 and 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020 (‘the 2018 to 2019 and 2019 to 2020 harbour dues’).
In accordance with Sections 31(6)(a) and 31(9) of the 1964 Act, the Secretary of State hereby gives notice to Littlehampton Harbour Board of approval of the disputed charges in regards pleasure craft and charter vessels (Issues 1 and 1A) and dues relating to all categories of vessels (Issues 2 and 2A) contained within the 2018 to 2019 and 2019 to 2020 Schedule of Charges.
The period during which the approval is to have effect is subject to a limit of 12 months from 1 April 2018 to 31 March 2019 in respect of the 2018 to 2019 charges and a limit of 12 months from 1 April 2019 to 31 March 2020 in respect of the 2019 to 2020 charges.
