The government’s transparency policy requires departments, from May 2013, to publish information on their major projects and update this annually. The major projects concerned are those which are on the Government’s Major Projects Portfolio (GMPP).

This transparency policy is in the process of being updated in line with project delivery reform and the IPA mandate and will be in place ahead of the 2021/22 IPA Annual Report.

This guidance sets out the transparency policy for the GMPP and information about exemptions for departments.
