Details

The malaria prevention guidelines for travellers from the UK, published by the UK Malaria Expert Advisory Group, provide detailed information and advice on malaria prevention. These guidelines cover the majority of scenarios and should be consulted first.

If the healthcare professional is unsure how to advise their traveller after having read the relevant sections of the guidelines, they should complete the malaria risk assessment form and email their malaria prophylaxis query to the Malaria Reference Laboratory (Malaria RL).

Complete a form electronically and email to phe.malproph@nhs.net

Malaria RL will reply within 3 working days.
