Details

This Policy Framework sets out mandatory requirements and guidance documents required to effectively manage, the collection, preservation, and continuity of evidence across His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Services (HMPPS).

Adherence to the instructions within this Policy Framework will improve successful outcomes at adjudication hearings and criminal cases referred to the police.

This Policy Framework supports the Crime in Prison Referral Agreement and the commitments outlined in the Prison White Paper strategy in reducing crime in prisons.
