Details

This notice should be read in conjunction with the merchant shipping and fishing vessels (health and safety at work) regulations 1997 (S.I 1997/2962), MGN 587 (F) amendment 1 ILO work in fishing convention health and safety responsibilities, MGN 533 (M) Amendment 1 means of access and the Codes of Safe Working Practices for Merchant Seafarers (COSWP) and the Codes of Practice for the Safety of Fishing Vessels and replaces MGN 591 (M+F).

Amendment 1 updates references and current industry best practice guidance in respect of health and safety risk assessments.
