We have updated the 'Change to the business rates payment process for schools: guidance for billing authorities' for financial year 2024 to 2025.

We have removed the NNDR claims template for 2023 to 2024 as the deadline to submit 2023 to 2024 claims was 31 January 2024. We have added subsection 'Claim template 2024 to 2025' and published the NNDR claims template for 2024 to 2025 for billing authorities. Please note, we have added the following changes to the template for 2024 to 2025: • added a new column M named 'Is the property (or sports field) being used for educational purposes?' • added the option of up to 7 years in column 0 named 'Property liability year' to allow the billing authority to claim for the current year, and the previous 6 years (previously this showed only current and previous year) This template has been published in advance of the new claims window opening on Monday, 1 April 2024. Updated NNDR guidance for billing authorities will be available shortly.
