An evaluation is taking place into screening for severe combined immunodeficiency (SCID) in the NHS. The evaluation will cover around two-thirds of the newborn population in England.

There are 2 versions of each letter template depending on whether or not a baby was offered SCID screening alongside the 9 other newborn blood spot conditions.

See the PHE Screening blog for more information about the SCID screening evaluation.
